Powered by a 3.0-liter flat-six engine, the 911 Carrera S benefits from newly installed twin turbochargers that deliver a notable power boost of 22 kW, bringing the output to 353 kW—on par with the pre-refresh Carrera GTS—and a torque of 530 Nm.
Power is transmitted to the rear wheels via an eight-speed dual-clutch ‘PDK’ automatic transmission, enabling the Carrera S coupe to sprint from 0-100 km/h in a mere 3.3 seconds, according to Porsche’s claims.
A torque-vectoring system and a sports exhaust are now standard, enhancing the model’s dynamic performance.
Noteworthy exterior updates include a redesigned front fascia, a new rear light strip, and fresh wheel designs. The updated braking apparatus features 408mm front and 380mm rear rotors, with the option to upgrade to a carbon-ceramic braking system.
Porsche has also enhanced the standard dampers, which are said to provide superior drivability with increased precision and responsiveness, offering drivers a blend of agility and stability at high speeds.
Optional features for the Carrera S include a Porsche Active Suspension Management system that lowers the vehicle by 10 mm and rear-wheel steering.
Inside, the Australian model of the 911 Carrera S standardly features black leather trim across the seats, dashboard, and door panels. The coupe configuration primarily accommodates two passengers, while an optional rear row is available, standard in the cabriolet variant.
Customization options allow buyers to upgrade with leather on the glove box, side panels, and seat bases, along with Crayon contrast stitching.
The standard amenities carried over from the automatic Carrera lineup include matrix LED headlights, wireless smartphone charging, a grey-tinted windscreen, comfort access, a Bose sound system, digital radio, lane-keeping assistance, a surround view camera with active parking support, and adaptive cruise control.
Additional enhancements such as a front axle lift system, HD matrix LEDs, and the Sport Chrono package are available for further personalization.
