Mini Australia has unveiled the pricing for the eagerly anticipated John Cooper Works (JCW) variants of its electric Cooper and Aceman, set to hit the market in early 2025.
Announced in October, the Mini JCW Electric and JCW Aceman are poised to become the high-performance benchmarks within their respective electric vehicle (EV) segments, signifying the brand’s inaugural venture into this sportier offering.
Starting at $63,990, the Mini JCW Electric commands a $3,000 premium over the top-tier turbocharged petrol hatchback. Meanwhile, the JCW Aceman opens at $65,990, reflecting a $5,000 increase compared to the current flagship Aceman SE Favoured within the electric SUV lineup.
Both electric models share powertrains that nearly parallel the outputs found in their petrol counterparts. Here’s a closer look at the specifications:

For comparison, the petrol-powered Mini JCW hatchback utilizes a 2.0-litre four-cylinder engine that delivers 170kW and 280Nm, achieving 0-100 km/h in a robust 6.1 seconds.
Distinct from their petrol counterparts, these electric models are constructed on an entirely different platform, with production taking place in China as part of a joint collaboration between Mini’s parent company BMW and GWM.
Visually, the electric JCWs are characterized by a closed-off grille and the absence of exhaust tips. The JCW Electric boasts an impressive array of features, including a premium 10-speaker Harman Kardon audio system, heated and power-adjustable front seating, a panoramic glass roof, synthetic leather upholstery, and exclusive 18-inch ‘Mastery’ wheels.
In addition, JCW variants sport enhanced styling elements, such as aggressive body kits akin to the JCW Trim found in the Cooper SE available overseas, distinctive wheel designs (18-inch for the Cooper and 19-inch for the Aceman), and striking black contrast features. The JCW Aceman, in particular, features larger 19-inch ‘Strive’ wheels and standard Hankook performance tires throughout the lineup.
Further distinguishing the JCW models are red brake calipers, unique grilles, bespoke daytime running light signatures, and an array of prominent JCW badges. The infotainment experience remains consistent, anchored by a 240mm round OLED touchscreen that mirrors the rest of the Mini range.
Potential buyers can choose from a spectrum of seven stunning color options, including:
