The updated 2025 Genesis GV60 has been unveiled, ahead of its anticipated launch in Australia by September of this year.
While the external modifications may be subtle, they include an updated front bumper, refreshed headlights, and new wheel designs, all reflecting Genesis’s so-called ‘Athletic Elegance’ design philosophy.
Inside, however, the changes are more pronounced. The compact electric SUV now boasts a striking 27-inch widescreen display that integrates both the digital instrument cluster and the infotainment system, alongside a redesigned steering wheel.

Details regarding extensive under-the-hood changes for the GV60 remain sparse, with comprehensive specifications expected to be unveiled before its domestic market launch in March. It remains uncertain whether updates will be made to the electric drivetrain, particularly as the existing GV60 Performance AWD sits between the all-wheel-drive and performance variants of the Ioniq 5 and EV6.
In the Australian market, Genesis offers the GV60 in two configurations: dual-motor AWD and Performance AWD. A more budget-friendly single-motor GV60 RWD variant is available in other regions, but it has yet to be introduced in Australia.
Examining the minor external alterations in greater detail, the headlights employ Micro Lens Array technology, while the new 21-inch five-spoke alloy wheels are further enhanced by body-colored cladding. The front bumper features a newly crafted three-dimensional motif, with body-colored finishes now applied to the rear skid plate and wheel-arch cladding.
The ambitious 27-inch widescreen array is underpinned by Hyundai Motor Group’s latest Integrated Cockpit platform, offering a seamless interface with no bezels separating the driver and infotainment displays. While not explicitly confirmed, this new system is expected to support wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, as well as Genesis Connected Services tailored for the Australian market—essentially the brand’s equivalent of Hyundai’s Bluelink and Kia Connect.
In terms of interior enhancements, the 2025 model year introduces a fresh palette of cream beige and light blue quilted leather trims, although these details were not highlighted in the official media release and have not yet been confirmed for Australia.
Genesis has announced that further specifications and pricing information will be disclosed in the first quarter of 2025, with the Korean sales launch set to follow shortly thereafter. Australian deliveries are expected between July and September of 2025.
